why I paint
Painting chose me. I have to; it clears my head; it's a form of therapy. I like what colors, forms and shapes can say.
I like what different combinations of color and texture can say and the emotions that they convey.
Mr. Dressup on the Canadian channel, CBC, was my first inspiration.

why I write
If I don't write down what's in my head, then I'll forget and it will bother me all day. It's a good release; it clears my head; it's a good way to get stuff off my chest. I guess part of me is hoping someone I don't even know will relate and won't think me crazy. I tend to get ideas in odd places - like when I'm driving in my car, so now I keep a book or Post-It Notes with me to jot down ideas. I'm witty & fairly original, though it seems everything has been said a million times over.
